KSU Crown Championship: Empowering the Next Generation of Saudi Esports

The KSU Crown Championship concluded after months of online competition, bringing together some of the most talented university esports players in Saudi Arabia for an exciting two-day grand finals event hosted at Twisted Labs.
What made this championship truly special was that the tournament was fully driven by the students themselves. From tournament operations and broadcasting production to creative execution and event management, the championship showcased the incredible capabilities and passion of King Saud University students working together to deliver a professional esports experience.
A Tournament Built by Students, for Students
Over several months, university players competed online across multiple esports titles, leading up to the highly anticipated finals weekend. The event highlighted the growing esports culture within Saudi universities and demonstrated how student-led initiatives can create large-scale competitive experiences with outstanding professionalism and creativity.
The finals were divided into two dedicated event days, each with its own unique atmosphere and competitive energy.
Day 1 – Female Finals
The first day focused on the female finals competitions featuring:
- VALORANT
- Overwatch 2
The atmosphere throughout the venue was energetic and inspiring, with strong audience engagement, competitive matches, and a celebration of the growing presence of female talent within the Saudi esports scene.
The production quality, stage presence, and community support created an unforgettable experience for both players and attendees.
Day 2 – Male Finals
The second day hosted the male finals across multiple titles:
- VALORANT
- Overwatch 2
- Rocket League
- FC26
With packed competitions and high-level gameplay throughout the day, the finals showcased the diversity and rapid growth of esports communities within Saudi universities. From FPS titles to sports and vehicle-based competition games, the event reflected the broad gaming interests of the next generation of Saudi players.
